Owner’s Profiles

Deborah A. Rankin

Professional – I earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh in May of 1981.  My accounting career began at Parsons, Parsons & Coisman in January of 1982.  In March, 1985 I was awarded my CPA license from the state of Wisconsin. Up until the time we started this business in 1993, I worked in partnership with James W. Parsons. This tax season will mark my 37th years in the tax business.  I am a member of the AICPA, WICPA and NATP.

Personal – In June of 1980, I married my husband Brian.  Just over a year later we bought our present home near Algoma.  We have 4 children.  Our oldest son Jeremy is married to Ashley and their children, Max & Alma are our greatest joy.  Jennifer, our oldest daughter, moved to an adult family home in Green Bay last fall and works at Aspiro.  Our youngest son Nicholas lives in Green Bay with his wife Betsy and our newest grandson, Bentley.  Melissa, our youngest, is a barber and lives with her fiance in Suamico. She is planning a wedding for 2019. My outside interests are, spending time with my family, reading, gardening and traveling.

Susan Koudelka

Professional – My career in the accounting field began in 1973. After taking some time off to be an at-home Mom, I rejoined the workforce while attending NWTC where I earned an Associate Degree in accounting. In November, 2012 after testing, I received the designation, Registered Tax Return Preparer (RTRP) from the IRS. I am a member of NATP. In June, 2014 I made the big decision to “semi-retire”. In 2015, I decided to permanently retire and am enjoying every minute of it. I do consult with Debbie and other staff periodically if the need arises.

Personal – I married Jerry Koudelka in July, 1974. We lived in West Jacksonport for 35 years before moving to Lac du Flambeau, WI in July, 2014. We have 3 married sons (Kirk, Kevin & Kristopher), 3 wonderful daughters-in-law (Carrie, Sarah & Missy), 5 granddaughters (Julia, Victoria, Kylie, Taylor May, and Brynn) and 2 grandsons (Mason & Jackson). I enjoy reading, crocheting & visiting my children and grandchildren.

Connie Bitzan

Professional – As a tax preparer I have helped many clients get the best results on their tax returns since the 1990’s. I have attended many tax preparation courses and tax seminars throughout the years. As the “newest” member of Rankin & Associates, Ltd., I look forward to helping our current and future clients with their financial needs. My goal is to get the best results I can for our clients.

PersonalIn my spare time I enjoy reading, gardening and outdoor activities.  I enjoy outdoor activities much more in fair weather, which is good news for a tax preparer.

Susie Eckardt

Professional – I have been a member the American Payroll Association (APA) since 1990. By being a member of this organization, I am able to keep abreast of all new payroll regulations and changes within the field. My duties include the preparation of payrolls, review of client prepared payrolls, all reporting requirements, both federal and state, during the year and at year end. I also serve as off season receptionist. During tax season, in addition to payroll duties, I see that all tax returns are properly electronically filed and receive acknowledgement from the various taxing authorities.

Personal – Among other outside interests, I enjoy nature hiking and gardening.

Mari Weidman

Professional – I am a “seasonal” employee and work at Rankin & Associates as a receptionist from January through April 15th. 2018 will mark my 10th year with the firm. My main duties are to make appointments, take your information, assemble your tax returns and assist you when you come in to pick up your completed returns. When tax season ends I move onto various other seasonal jobs, as I have been doing for years.

Personal – I have been married to my wonderful husband, Richard, for 39 years. We have one son Eric. The things that I enjoy doing are growing orchids and other flowers, reading, baking and spending time with my family.
